At GCBCU, we believe every child is precious to God—and every parent deserves peace of mind while worshiping. Our Nursery Ministry is a safe, clean, loving place where infants and toddlers are cared for with kindness, patience, and joy.  Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve been part of our church family for years, we want you to feel completely comfortable leaving your little one in our care.

The Nursery Ministry

A safe and nurturing place for infants & toddlers

Our nursery is designed especially for the youngest in our congregation.  We provide a calm, secure environment where children can be:

✅ introduced to God’s love in age-appropriate ways

Your expectations:

When you arrive, we’ll help you check your child in and answer any questions you may have.  We know it can feel hard to leave your little one somewhere new—so we make it simple, friendly, and secure.

A Clean & Safe Environment

We work hard to make sure our nursery stays fresh and healthy. Toys and surfaces are sanitized regularly, and we encourage families to keep children home if they’re sick.

Loving Care

Our nursery workers serve because they truly love children.  You can expect gentle care, attentive supervision, and respectful communication.

Safety & Security

Your child’s safety is our highest priority.

Secure Check-In / Pick-Up

To protect your child, our nursery uses a secure check-in and matching pick-up system so children are released only to authorized adults.

​

Proper Supervision

We maintain healthy child-to-caregiver ratios whenever possible, so your child gets attentive and safe care.

Trusted Volunteers

All nursery volunteers and staff members must complete a screening process, including background checks, and must agree to follow our nursery policies.  They must be born-again Christians and a member of our church.

​

Health & Allergy Awareness

We aim to protect every child with care and wisdom.  If your child has a fever or symptoms of something contagious please keep them at home.  Parents are asked to share allergies and medical needs at check-in.  Every child is welcome.

Even in the nursery, children can begin learning truth in simple ways.

We keep everything age-appropriate: simple, loving, and peaceful.

Nursery Room

Our nursery is thoughtfully arranged into cozy areas to help little ones feel comfortable and secure, including a quiet space for naps, a play area for toddlers, a reading corner with soft toys and books, and organized storage to keep everything clean and safe.  We keep the room warm and child-friendly with soft colors, gentle décor, and safe furnishings.

New to GCBCU:

If you’re a first-time guest, you are welcome here.  You can check your child in when you arrive, or come a few minutes early and we’ll walk you through everything.  If you have questions, concerns, or special instructions for your child, we’re happy to help.
