Salvation is only the beginning. When someone receives Christ as their Saviour, it is not only to rescue them from the wages of sin, which is death and hell, but also to fulfill God’s purpose here on earth. Scripture tells us that Christ has given gifts to His church: “He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:11–12). Jesus said, “Feed My sheep” (John 21:17), and we are commanded to “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2). Even Jeremiah was told, “Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee” (Jeremiah 1:7). If you believe God has given you the gift of preaching, teaching, or evangelism, we invite you to fill out an opportunity card so that we may connect with you. To maintain order and avoid confusion in the church, all messages will first be reviewed by an elder, for “let the prophets speak… and let the others judge” (1 Corinthians 14:29). Above all, we who are called must always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), remembering that preaching and serving God is always a privilege.
